Episode 45 ‘’well I guess It’s now time to explain myself’’ Henry muttered , breathing heavily. We all nodded, eagerly waiting for his own side of the story. ‘’I met comfort through my cousin some years back and as a young man was very much attracted to her, but her behavior kind of pushed me off because the silly girl simply friendzoned me upon everything I did to win her. So I had to walk away and move on with my life even though I still saw her occasionally through my cousin until she had problem in her department which she needed cash to settle. Episode 44 ‘’I have to go check what’s going on out there’’ Henry muttered , bravely heading to the door but my mother in law instantly stopped him. ‘’no my son it isn’t safe. Episode 43 ‘’you know you aren’t getting away with this. You better surrender, let’s end this peacefully’’’ the detective said professionally but his words had no effect on comfort who simply laughed. ‘’seems like you didn’t understand what Mr. Henry said to you?. Mr. detective, I have nothing to lose, moreover how will you stop me from getting away?. You are all alone with no backup. Episode 42 Comfort sat beside me, felt my pulse and breathed deeply. ‘’I’m really very sorry my love. you know i never meant to shoot you. I even risked everything just to be with you right now. I know the police are already looking for me’’ she muttered and swallowed hard. ‘’you shot me’’I said accusingly. ‘’you know I never meant to. You are the last person I will ever hurt deliberately’’she replied slowly as tears quickly filled her eyes. ‘’but you were in my house to kill my wife? What did she do to deserve such attempt on her life?’’ I queried breathlessly. Her eyes quickly lit up. She bit her lips and closed her eyes for a second. ‘’she killed my baby. Episode 41 I opened my eyes to find myself in a hospital. My wife, my mother in law and detective Johnson were all present with a look of concern on their faces. I tried to smile but was unsuccessful. I tried to talk but couldn’t. ‘’oh dear Lord, he’s finally awake’’ Jessica breathed happily, handed over my little daughter to her mother, drew forward and sat beside me on the bed, touching my chest. ‘’baby’’ she breathed. I tried once again to force myself to talk but still couldn’t. ‘’please relax dearest. You are still in shock’’ Jessica said softly. I speechlessly stared at her as I slowly remembered what put me on the hospital bed. I quickly remembered Comfort. My heart beat quickly increased. I became overly scared. I was scared because comfort was still free out there, probably lying in wait for Jessica and my little daughter. No one was there to stop her. I alone knew what the d--n girl was capable of. Episode 40 I returned to my house with a very heavy mind. i was so hungry, scared and uncertain of what next to do. Jessica hugged me as soon as she saw how scared I looked. ‘’I believe she’s hasn’t showed up yet?’’ she asked. I nodded and shrugged. ‘’that girl is just out to ruin us. We really need prayers’’ she breathed, and of course that was what I definitely needed the most. I needed God’s help in dealing with the situation. Episode 39 ‘’what!, I can’t believe this’’ I shouted, ‘’you have to calm down sir, you are in a hospital’’ the doctor begged. ‘’ the poor boy is just the end result of your mistakes with my cousin’’ he added, ‘’but why didn’t you tell me all along?, why keep such thing away from me?’’ I asked angrily, but my question kind of made the doctor angry. ‘’listen mister, you have no moral justification to be disturbing my peace this morning. Episode 38 ‘’let’s go home and freshen up. You need to eat and rest. We will be back for the paper work’’ I said softly. She held me strongly as if her life depended on it. ‘’please don’t leave me. I don’t want to be alone’’ she cried.. An hour later, we arrived at her apartment where some concerned neighbors were waiting for our return. Comfort started crying all over again, leaving me with no choice than to try my best in comforting her.. I spent all morning with her, managing to sneak out around 12pm, after convincing her that I will be back in an hour. ‘’please don’t stay away for too long. Episode 36 After two weeks of living together as one happy family. Jessica began insisting on paying a visit to comfort and her baby, something I opposed with all my heart but she kept insisting that it almost led to a quarrel. ‘’I don’t see the reason why you are kicking against it. Of course as your wife I’m duty bound to pay at least one visit to that girl to see her son. Episode 35 The arrival of my little girl brought so much joy and happiness in my heart. Oh yea I was expecting a son but the joy of seeing an exact little replica of my wife was so much to contain. ‘’our little girl is so pretty’’ I whispered sweetly into Jessica’s ears as she regained her strength on the hospital bed. She smiled weakly, managing to bring up her hand which she placed on my face. ‘’I’m so happy. I’m now a full woman’’ she breathed with tears of joy. Episode 34 Leaving Henry’s apartment, i headed straight to see Comfort in order to straighten things with her. I felt it was a very nice step to take not minding what my wife said about such move the last time we talked. The time was 8pm when I made it to Comfort’s house. Episode 31 I forced out a smile, drew closer to Jessica and helped her sit on the bed. She stared at me anxiously, not knowing what to expect. I clasped her hands with mine and looked into her eyes. ‘’it was the police that called. You see my friend Henry was shot last night and I was the last person seen with him. Episode 30 My mother gave me a piece of her mind when I returned home that fateful morning. Episode 29 I headed straight to Henry’s hotel as soon as I left the hospital. I really felt so bad and ashamed of myself. I regretted ever doubting Comfort. I regretted the cold manner I dragged her and our little child to the hospital without any consideration. I just didn’t know how to face the poor girl nor my future or what direction my life was even heading. Henry expertly guessed that all wasn’t right as soon as he saw me in his hotel that fateful evening. He quickly led me to a quiet corner and ordered for drinks. For the first time in my life I took three bottles of beer. I just wasn’t alright in any way. My conscience wouldn’t let me be. Episode 27 Early the next day, comfort got set to leave my house with her mother and our baby. She shed few tears as I took her belongings to my car. To be sincere, she really looked so terrible even though she tried very hard to appear calm.
